陈玉梅出生于1910年，原名费梦敏，江苏省孟河人氏。

15岁进入邵氏“笑舞台”训练班，16岁进入天一影片公司，在处女作《唐伯虎点秋香》中扮演秋香走红。

Chen Yumei was born fei Mengmin in 1910 in Menghe, Jiangsu Province.

At the age of 15, she entered Shaw's "Laugh Stage" training class. At 16, she joined Tianyi Film Company, where she became famous as Chouheung in her debut film "Tang Po Fu Lights Chouheung".

陈玉梅拍过30多部电影，代表作有《夜光珠》《大学皇后》《生机》《挣扎》等。

她不仅演技精湛，而且歌声优美，在《芸兰姑娘》中演唱了插曲《花弄影》《燕双飞》及《节俭歌》《催眠曲》等插曲，被称为“俭约明星”、“催眠姑娘”。

1934年，陈玉梅息影，到了香港相夫教子，只在邵氏的《丹凤朝阳》等电影中担任配音。她非常低调，所以我们很少听到有关她的消息。1985年，她因病去世，终年75岁。

Chen yumei has made more than 30 films, such as Luminous Beads, Queen of The University, The Living Spirit and Struggle.

She not only has excellent acting skills, but also has a beautiful singing voice. In Yunlan Girl, she sang songs such as "Flower Lane Shadow", "Yan Shuangfei", "Frugal Song" and "Lullaby". She is known as "frugal star" and "hypnotic girl".

In 1934, Chen yumei retired from acting and went to Hong Kong to take care of her husband and raise her children, only acting as a dub in Shao's Films such as "Phoenix Sunrise". She keeps a very low profile, so we hear little about her. She died of illness in 1985 at the age of 75.
